Social Connecter Volunteer's Needed


Derbyshire Carers social connectedness service is the provision of social prescribing & befriending aimed to reduce isolation, increase the confidence of carers to access their community & support services across Derbyshire, and build meaningful social connections. e.g where carers have been shielding, rurally and social isolated or vulnerable to crime/fraud.

 

Your role will be to support carers within their local communities to feel confident and able to access support, interests and to reduce isolation and falling victim to crime/fraud. This may be supporting a carer to a new group or to simply enjoying a coffee and a meaningful conversation outside their home and caring role.  Note: This is a face 2 face support role.
