Derbyshire Carers - Free Training
Free training sessions are for unpaid carers; these could be people who care for members of their family, friends or neighbours on a voluntary basis (including carers receiving carers allowance).
The first 2 hours of the session look at various aspects involved in caring for a loved one such as how to cope with stress, how to increase confidence in their caring role, how to be better informed about support and services available to the carer and more.
There will be a half hour break for lunch (free buffet menu provided) and the last hour of the session will be facilitated by Cheryl Finch ADCA, VTCT, BA (Hons), MIFPA who is a Holistic Therapist with Vibrant Life Aromatherapy.
During this last hour of the session Cheryl will be demonstrating relaxation techniques and therapies.
Transport is provided for those that need it and Crossroads will be providing staff in a separate room to enable carers to attend with the person they care for. All these free services have disabled access and are open to carers of all ages.
